Masaryk University’s New Year greeting card created by students
The 2024 MU New Year’s card came out of a competition involving students from the Department of Art at the Faculty of Education. The jury chose Mariana Michenkova's design as the basis of the New Year’s greeting for 2024.

MU best in Czechia in QS Sustainability Rankings
A total of 1,403 higher education institutions from 95 countries were assessed in the second edition of the QS Sustainability Rankings, which evaluates the contribution of universities to tackling the challenges of sustainable development. Masaryk University is ranked first in the Czech Republic and 161st in the world.

Mendel Refectory hosted habilitation ceremony
The Mendel Refectory at the Old Brno Abbey saw on 30 November the habilitation ceremony of fifteen colleagues from six faculties who have earned the Czech academic degree of associate professors.

Martin Toul: awards motivate me to pursue science

Foreigners can now take Czech exam at MU
This year, Masaryk University became an official examination centre for the Czech as a Foreign Language exam, which foreigners need in order to obtain permanent residence in the Czech Republic. This makes it one of four places in the South Moravian Region where the exam can be taken.
