Masaryk University, the South Moravian Region and Brno University of Technology presented their investment plans together for the first time. On 30 January 2024, the VIDA! science centre hosted a joint event of the above-mentioned organisations called Presentation of Investment Actions 2024.

The South Moravian Region and its partners, with whom it has been cooperating in the field of public procurement for a long time, organised a meeting mainly for suppliers of construction and design works.

Masaryk University has introduced five investment projects and plans to award thirty contracts for 2024 with an estimated value of approximately CZK 1.4 billion including VAT. The public contracts concern construction works and deliveries, for example, for the rebuilding of the A8 pavilion on the MU Campus in Bohunice, repair of the roof after a hailstorm on the Vinařská dormitory, repair of the facade of the Rector's Office, completion of the MU Faculty of Informatics campus, reconstruction of the C03 pavilion on the Bohunice campus and the university's strategic project called MUNI BioPharma Hub. Marta Valešová, Bursar of Masaryk University said "We were pleased to accept the invitation to this event, where we met for the first time in this composition, i.e. in cooperation with the South Moravian Region and Brno University of Technology. One of our priorities is to transparently present our plans in order to prepare the market for these contracts, to attract quality companies that will offer not only quality workmanship but also an acceptable price thanks to the competition."
